Wisdom Of The Oracle Divination Cards by Colette Baron-Reid
As a lot of you will know by now, I have really been getting into spirituality and the whole concept of mind, body & soul. Most of my life I’ve been a big believer in angels, spirits, guardians, guides and so much more. It provides me with comfort and helps me to connect with my inner self more than I would otherwise, as well as my loved ones that have passed. Being a believer in spirituality and owning oracle cards helps me to gain wisdom and insight from somewhere that isn’t just inside my own head.
Late last year I purchased the Wisdom Of The Oracle Divination Cards by Colette Baron-Reid and have been loving them so I knew I had to share them with you.
There’s many ways you can do readings with oracle cards. My favourite way to do a reading for myself with this deck is to think of a question or situation I would like guidance on before I start shuffling the cards. Then I shuffle the cards and wait for any to fall out and lay them out in order. One of my favourite spreads to do is life-love-career. Sometimes I like to do a past-present-future reading but I find that I gravitate towards other card decks for that type of reading.
The cards themselves are the most beautifully designed oracle cards I have ever seen. If I was to ever design a deck, it would look a lot like this one – bright, beautiful colours and surreal images. The quality of the cards is great, which adds to just how incredibly beautiful the cards are. The one thing I did find a little odd with this deck is that the cards are numbered – I think it’s unnecessary and would’ve just preferred them with the message and the artwork.
Some of the recurring cards I get are: A Leg Up (always to do with my dad), Soul Mates (for my future love life), Yin (for me/my energy), The Fates, and Imagine.
Something that is very important to me with oracle card decks is that they come with a good Guidebook. This one is fantastic – as you can see next to the card deck it is pretty thick. It has a black and white image of each of the 52 cards, as well as an essential meaning, oracle message, relationship message, prosperity message, and a protection message to use if the card is reversed when drawn.
I do readings with this deck every couple of days and am always blown away by the cards it gives me. My mum loves this deck as well and I’ve found that her energy lingers on the cards for a little while after as I draw cards that I never normally get, so I cleanse them to make sure I get an accurate reading for myself.
You can purchase the deck for just around $20 over at Amazon. It truly is one of the most beautiful decks so I highly recommend it. If there’s any oracle card decks please do let me know in the comments – I have quite the collection brewing now but am always on the look out for new ones.
